PEAK is a four year process to empower all Anniston parents and many community citizens to be catalysts for children's success in school and in life. This program aims to help Anniston's youth achieve their highest potential and avoid behaviors such as substance abuse, which can shorten life and shatter dreams.

The philosophy of the program is, "Parents are the solution for Anniston's kids."  The prevention strategies to be implemented through PEAK have been proven to have dramatic community wide results when they are implemented on a broad basis by parents and youth.  In fact, with this program, we propose to dramatically reduce substance abuse among youth and to cut the school drop out rate in half by September of 2008.

• By partnering with local housing communities, churches, businesses and schools, we believe that we can return Anniston to the "Model City" it once was.
• PEAK classes are offered all over the community, at convenient times and locations to serve as many families as possible. Our parent education classes will guide the parent and child through a step-by-step process to deal with the various issues that face our youth today.

In addition to these services, PEAK also participates in events which help communities around the state.
